Evening everyone :)

I have a question about this error I keep getting when plugging in one of my USB 3.0 stick (which I normally use for college to store work on).

Whenever I plug in it my PC or laptop it says "USB not recognized" and it doesn't load (it also stops blinking). I have tried to scan for it in device manager but nothing. It would just not show up.

(Last time I was in college which was Friday it worked just fine but I haven't used it since and now this happened)

Also, when I unplug it, there is that specific sound the windows makes when something gets unplugged.

Any idea on how I can fix this :D ? I kinda need the stuff that's on it :D

install latest usb3 drivers?

Intel® USB 3.0 Driver 3.1.0.41 https://www.mediafire.com/?72osn22208206c3

Well, I'm trying to but this won't let me.

Well, the USB ports work, all of them 2.0 and 3.0 but that particular USB stick doesn't and gives the error.

But since then I've noticed the "Unknown USB device" in the device manager which is showing up even when the "faulty" usb stick is not plugged in.

Also, when I restarted my pc, the USB being unplugged sound came on right after all the programs started up which was weird

Ok so i checked in q-flash and it shows it, with all the folders in it as well.

Also it shows the UEFI sing or whatever that is above the drive if i go to the booting sequence.

EDIT: Ok so I went forward and uninstalled the USB drive which was showing as an error in Device Manager (also updated to F7) and now, even if the usb is NOT plugged in the pc, the "usb could not be recognized" notification pops up and i can see it again in the device manager.

i don't even know wtf is happening anymore -.-

(When plugged in, the USB is shown as the USB Mass Storage Device, the other one above I have no idea :( )

I'd try plugging the stick into the same port of the last computer it worked in. Check to see if it works. Then eject (safely), and try on another computer. Whatever happens, it might help to narrow down what's going on.

Yea well i have to wait till Monday to check that since last time it worked was in college.

Right click on the errors in device manager and remove device for each. Then restart, windows should add the drivers automatically.

This has worked for me in the passed with windows driver errors for usb (you might also need to look at hidden devices too). Forcing windows to reinstall the drivers should reset there configuration back to defaults.

Tried that 100 times mate.. Won't fix the problem. I don't know what it is really. All usb ports work, is just that error there bugging me off :D
