As above, can you get such a thing?
have a shelf set up for the Bt homehub and we have 4 network connections so didn't think it was going to be an issue, but now client has bought a phone which can also do voip and requires a port - the phone and the bt hub are using the only two sockets, really don't want to get into an extension bar situation if we can avoid it...

Yes they do exist. I have a cheap Edimax wireless bridge which also has a 4 port switch built in and that comes with both mains and USB power cables for it. There are a few around but unfortunately I won't be able to directly link to them here.

Google that. You can ignore the wifi side of it if you want and just use it as a USB powered 10/100 switch.

thanks - might give that a try although it specifically says in the FAQ's that the usb cable should only be connected to the wall plug power supply...
wonder if the homehub would kick out enough/any power via the usb - should probably check that first!

I've used a few of them. I've got one attached to the USB port on a copier to connect it where this is no Ethernet wall socket and I've one behind the TV connected to the Skybox / Console / TV ethernet, powered by the TV's USB socket. Not had any problems power wise with them but yes best check on the Home hubs USB.
