USB Output?

can system admins etc tell that files / amount of data etc have been copied through usb to a portable usb device?

just a question im curious about .

Not easily. There may be an management app out there that could do that, but I don't know of any major products that do this as standard.

They can if they want, if they were worried they'd likely just disable mass storage on USB though...

EDIT: Of course another way may be through AV, I'm sure some packages must have the ability

just wanted to confirm my suspicions that they are unlikely to do this before i copied my work VM's to my ipod (of course breaking the it policy).
