So you have a USB pen, the port bit snaps off, what is the easiest way to fix? - Fix in a way to pull off the data.

Depends on the stick itself I guess, what one is it? I'd personally be hacking it open to get to the PCB in order to solder either the port back on or a USB cable on in its place just to get the data off.

Yea, just get soem cable and solder it back on... though the thought of 5UB wielding a hot soldering iron around the OcUK HQ doesn't fill me with confidence :p

I thought it would be as simple as that, I will let my Dad know as he will be doing it, I cannot do it as I am miles away from him (He lives over in Australia)! :p

Looking at the picture it looks like it could be four points to solder on. So the black shroud on the connector will need removing before soldering.

:EDIT: Ninja'd ;)
