USB Pen Snaps - How to fix?

So you have a USB pen, the port bit snaps off, what is the easiest way to fix? - Fix in a way to pull off the data.

Depends on the stick itself I guess, what one is it? I'd personally be hacking it open to get to the PCB in order to solder either the port back on or a USB cable on in its place just to get the data off.

I am guessing just two soldering points, to connect to the contacts.

Yea, just get soem cable and solder it back on... though the thought of 5UB wielding a hot soldering iron around the OcUK HQ doesn't fill me with confidence

I thought it would be as simple as that, I will let my Dad know as he will be doing it, I cannot do it as I am miles away from him (He lives over in Australia)!

He has just said there were 4 contacts that broke off.

Looking at the picture it looks like it could be four points to solder on. So the black shroud on the connector will need removing before soldering.
