I recently bought a new PC for home & gaming use and I'm having some issues with the USB connections when trying to use my VR headset (an Oculus Rift S) with the USB 3.0 and 3.1 sockets both on the front of the case and direct into the motherboard at the back of the PC.
Once plugged in, there'll be a lot of audio popping and stuttering on the headset until eventually it loses power entirely and all USB devices plugged into the computer (i.e. mouse and keyboard that are plugged into the regular USB ports) will turn off as if there's been some kind of power surge and killed it all before coming back on a few seconds later. It's not an issue that's happening constantly as I can quite happily keep the mouse and keyboard plugged into the USB 3.0 ports and working but as soon as VR enters the equation it all dies eventually.
I've tried reinstalling the USB drivers through device manager and I've confirmed that the VR headset/cable isn't the issue as it works fine in another PC but other than that I'm not really sure what to do. The motherboard is an ASUS TUF Gaming B560M-Plus WIFI and I can provide the rest of the specs if needed but I wasn't sure if they were relevant.
Does anyone have any suggestions to troubleshoot the issue or can point me towards a solution? Thanks in advance.
