My Grandparents old Dell 530s is having some strange issues.
Installed Windows 7 on it. The Netgear WN111v2 USB adapter keeps dropping out. The W7 connection icon goes to limited connectivity. Have to unplug and replug for it to work again. This will happen every 3 - 5 minutes.
The adapter works fine on another machine.
I've double checked in settings for the computer to be on high performance and modified the profile not to save USB wireless power or allow Windows to turn it off.
I've swapped the usb adapter for a D-Link DWA131 and a Netgear WG111 but they both do the same.
Some of the other USB devices seem to be playing up. I'm thinking it might be a mobo or power issue? How can I check for power?
I've got all the latest hardware updates from windows. Latest intel chipset drivers etc. Device manager looks all fine.
