USB powered floppy drive

I need to buy a USB powered floppy drive to check a bunch of old disks do they work ok under Linux , has anyone actually used one?

Not used one in years but I can't imagine it would be a problem.

I've seen people have problems with USB speakers and Soundbars as it setups a virtual soundcard so that was my concern that it sets up a virtual USB floppy drive.
