USB problem

I have an Mp3 player that can be plugged into the usb port on the pc to transfer music files.It has worked with no problems for months now but today when plugged into the pc i get the following message..

Is there anything i can do to get this working again even if the mp3 player has to be formatted somehow?

Sorry i forgot to mention..

I have tried it in another port and another pc and it was the same.Any more suggestions welcome.. :confused:

The answer is no the case hasn't been opened.As i stated in the earlier post that it is the same on another pc so it is not a pc problem.

How can i format it if windows doesn't pick it up?Is there a way?

It is only 4 months old and hasn't been used much so it looks like an rma if it is definately broke,unless i can format it somehow maybe in dos or something.Suggestions please?

Well i actually found that it had options on the player to format and low format.I tried both and it is still the same so is it faulty?
