USB Problem

Hi,

just bought a couple cheapo usb gamepads of fleabay and today when i plugged them in my mouse would stop working and my keyboards drivers would also stop working (logitech g15) so basically i can still type but the lcd screen stops working.

Anyone know whats causing this problem? The only things ive got plugged are my mouse (logitech g5) keyboard (logitech g15) usb modem and printer. My old MX500 works fine but my g5 wont work with the gamepads plugged in.

Almost. Pulling too much current. Try running some of your USB devices from a powered hub, especially the G15.

could you recommend me some powered ones? I had a feeling i might need a powered hub had a look yesterday but didnt know which one to get. Can I get any usb hub or is there something i need to look out for?

Any powered hub should do the trick. Belkin ones are fairly priced I believe.
