Hey,

I am just wondering if there is any way I can password protect my USB stick.

Something along the lines of:

  1. Doubleclick on device
  2. Asked for password
  3. Enter password
  4. Access drive

The reason for this is that for the second time now my drive has been accessed by someone at college through the network while i have had the device plugged in. Things have been deleted such as my portable Apps programs.

Anyways what suggestions do you guys have?

not too sure if you can do it through software, but you can definately buy secure/encrypted flash drives.

I'd link you, but I'm not allowed :)

I don't think password protection wouldn't help if it's through the network. Are you sure it's not some kind of antivirus on their systems that's deleting the files?

I'm wondering if you can format the usb stick to NTFS and use those permissions.

In fact i'm going to give it a go now
