Hi all,

I just got a tossy lil usb sound dongle through the post, which works fine except the volume calibration is mad. I currently have it on 2% which is just fine for me, although in a real party mood I might put it up to 3%. The keyboard volume control goes up in 10% increments so if I accidentally forget and use that I'm likely to blow my head off. I'm also quite worried about forgetting and damaging my expensive headphones. Is there any way to fix this?

Cheers

Unless there are specific drivers for the keyboard that allow for further control, I doubt anything can be done about the 10% increments. Volume will damage your hearing long before it does any damage to your headphones. I'm kind of intrigued why you're using expensive headphones with a cheap USB audio dongle though. Stop gap to something better?

It's more for the microphone port - this machine has one of those daft combo ports in it, and the inbuilt microphone is terrible. But the USB headphone port also seems like it might possibly be clearer than the inbuilt port.
