USB sound Vs. Audio Jack

I am currently running 'Bose companion 5' with USB audio.

What is better, USB audio or an Audio Jack taking sound quality into consideration?

Entirely depends on the DA converter in the associated equipment. If it is superior to the one built in to the computer then expect better sound with USB connection. If you have a quality soundcard or audio interface then the sound with analogue jack could well be the better sounding option.

If you're running a laptop or a PC with onboard sound only then USB is likely better for you
