Usb Speed

Hi hoping someone has a clue about this

averytime i plug my Ipod in i get the icon in the notification area saying this device can perform faster, but its connected to the motherboard usb 2.0 connector not some 1.1 extension cable.

any ideas.?

It might be worth checking the usb options in the BIOS.

And chipset drivers.
And a different port.
And a different cable if possible.

Cheers guys, will go have a root about at some point in the bios and see what it comes up with.

Might actually be the cable, my logitech webcam doesnt through this notification up when pulged into that port.

but the Ipod does on every ubs port i have

I'm sure I had to install a usb 2.0 driver from the disc that came with my motherboard.
