USB Splitter question

So i moved my PC and the USB posts are a pain to get to.. i need 2 one for controller and one to sync/charge watch.

if i use a USB Splitter to expand the one post on the back of my keyboard will i run into problems is i use a controller and change a device at the same time?
i dont want to blow the usb power

i have a microsoft dongle and it cuts off all the time, and randomly need to be resynced.

latency on the controller will be poor

mmm maybe i'll get a longer cable for the watch charger and keep it plugged into the back of pc.
