USB stick corrupt need data recovery software

USB stick is corrupt and require free data recovery software that let's you recover it for free.
I had lost my USB stick and obviously found it again and it must have some how gotten damaged and I needed to reformat the USB stick and as consequence I'm now needing to recover some college work I need.

Recuvva by piriform - same people who make ccleaner. Not used it myself though

^^ It's very good. Check the options if you don't get the files you need on the first pass, there is a deep scan etc

As said Recuva is very good. A lot of files it recovers lose their file name so check each one before despair sets in
