My current USB stick is an OCZ Rally2 4G - which was both big & fast at it's time.
The other important factors to me were it was slimline so it would actually fit in a usb socket alongside other plugs, or in sunken usb sockets on badly designed cases (unlike many usb sticks which can't fit), and that it has a decent cap (it's survived a few washing machine rides!

Before my Rally2, I had a shiny mirrored LG 1G stick, which survived a whole month in the washer before I found it!

However - now capacities have got much bigger, and I'm looking at the 16G sticks. But although I could get a Rally2 16G, speed has also increased - and with all that extra space I'd like to take advantage of the most speed possible.

So my question is - who knows a reliable 16G USB stick, which is uber slimline, has a decent cap, and is fast?

I've been browsing around for roundups but haven't come accross a satisfactory answer :( Anyone any suggestions? TIA

Hi leozack,

I have had a rally2 16gb stick since they were released.

I have never had any issue with it.
The caps do get loose after a bit of wear and tear, but replacements are available.

If I had the funds I would upgrade to a larger size, but maybe santa will hear me.:D

Exactly - they vary wildly in speeds, mostly. Whilst I'm happy to get a 16G Rally2 since I know they're reliable, slimline and fast - it feels a shame to not get the ones that can go upto twice as fast - nothing more annoying then when I finally want to do more than just install/run something from it - I want to copy/paste stuff - and I'm waiting to leave site and have to sit about waiting for it. So it'd be nice to find something just as great as the Rally2, but faster (and 16G)
