Hi all

Would like to get a couple of USB sticks for myself and someone else.

These will be used to copy video files onto for viewing on TV, so need to be quite fast, I don't want to wait 5 mins to copy 1.5 GB.

What are currently the best recommended sticks for speed? (write speed more important than read.)

I need min 8GB, ideally 16GB

My friend got a sandisk cruiser 16GB and it's dog slow, like 2 MB a second write speed.

Note that in my experience, exFAT will give you faster transfer rates (for me, ~12 MB/s writes compared to ~8 MB/s) but obviously if your TV/BD player/whatever you're playing the video files from doesn't support exFAT you can't use it.

I got a HP V210 16GB recently for £15. Its not the fastest available drive (about 10Mb/s write) but it's the best looking stick I've seen for a long time. It's small (paper clip sized) and shiny :)
