USB stops working when USB 3.0 device is plugged in?

Hi all,

Odd one here...

I have a USB WiFi stick plugged into a USB 2 port and works perfectly but if I plug in a USB 3 device (Into the USB 3 port) in this scenario, it's a memory card reader, the WiFi adapter gets disconnected? If I take it out and put it back in, it reconnects but only for a short time? Also, related issue, sometimes when I insert the card reader into the USB 3 port it doesn't even detect it and I need to restart my PC? The hub itself is located on top of my case, consisting 2 x USB 2 ports and 1 x USB 3 ports, if I have the memory card reader and WiFi adapter in both the USB 2 ports, they both work perfectly?

Sorry for the long post but I'm stumped!

Suggestions? :confused:

Best place to get a BIOS for my motherboard? It's a Gigabyte Z77M-D3H.

Thanks - Assume I just drag the BIOS file to a FAT32 formatted USB Stick?

BIOS updated but the issue still remains. I'll do some further testing tomorrow.
