Currently I have two monitors which plug directly into my desktop or my work laptop hub and then a input cable from a 8 port usb hub which I move between my desktop or laptop hub.
Ideally I wouldn't have to have to move this input cable. I think this requires a USB switch with two inputs. I've looked and at most these seem to go up to 4 outputs, which would mean i'd have to daisy chain from the 8 port usb hub, into the switch which my laptop hub and desktop would be connected to.
Or is there another option, such a >= 8 port usb switch with 2 inputs?
Or perhaps even a KVM switch but these seem super expensive, particularly for 2k res for two monitors, with one of them being my gaming monitor which runs at 144hz.
What would you do?
