USB to speakers

Funny question, but I know it's possible to get USB speakers, is it possible to get an adapter so I could plug a 3.5mm jack or phonos into usb and get audio through them?

Just have a laptop at the moment and want to output it to speakers, but the headphone jack is on the front so its a little annoying.

One question about having one of these USB soundcards in, is it possible to (changing the settings in i.e. winamp) to output only certain apps through the onboard sound and some through the speakers, would be nice to keep pesky msn from blaring out over large speakers lol

If it has the option, yes. I know TS has the option between different inputs/outputs.

In your instance yes... set the system audio device to one of them and in the winamp options find which ever output dll your using (usually directsound) and chance the output device listed for it to the soundcard of your choice... usually works fine...

Unfortunatly not all programs have this option and will just use the default system device but some programs will allow you to select the output device, winamp one of them.
