Hi all,

Can anyone recommend me a usb tv tuner for my netbook/laptop please?

Please tell me why you think it's good and anything else I should know about!

Have you or anyone else managed to get one working without a huge rooftop aerial? Are there any other types of special aerials you can recommend to me to buy based on personal success? Boosters required?

Do you want HD? you will need a DVB-T2 tuner for this.

As for aerials I tried the little one that came with my PCTV/Hauppage 290e USB tuner and got 0% signal with it. I get a strong enough signal with my rooftop aerial and it's only got a few elements. The transmitter is 30 miles away or so. I didn't try a proper indoor aerial with it.

If you can pick up Freeview on a TV connected to an indoor aerial then it should be the same for a USB tuner, shouldn't it.

How close are you to the transmitter? Are the aerials in your area massive or small? Vertically or horizontally oriented?
