USB Type-C header to USB 2 header adapter

My new motherboard (Gigabyte Z790 D DDR4) has 2 male USB 2 headers (F_USB1 and F_USB2, with 9 pins) but I need to plug in 3 USB 2 devices. It also has a free female USB Type-C header (F_U32C). Is it possible to get an adapter cable so I can plug a USB 2 plug into it? I have not found anything online.

I was interested (I've done the opposite before) and didn't find a USB C Type E to USB 2.0 female header either however there are USB 2.0 header splitters on Amazon. Not sure if I can link it as OCUK sell cables but the description is below for one.

Thanks; I have seen those splitters and I am not sure how well they work. I have ordered an internal USB 2 hub, which plugs into a USB 2 header and gives 4 sockets (USB 2, 9 pins), but it requires a SATA power connector too. I was hoping a simple USB 2 to USB Type-C adapter would do the job instead.

I have one of those from nzxt
Works great
And been using it years
No worries about not enough power
Like using a splitter
 
Interesting...the 3 devices I want to plug in (front of case USB ports, a PCIe Wifi+Bluetooth card, and a CPU AIO Watercooler pump/fan) all have a 9 pin plug, which normally would mean I need 3 USB 2 9 pin headers, but the motherboard only has 2.

Are you saying there is someway to plug two of these devices into one header? Is that how the splitter cables work?

It depends if they use all 8 pins of the 9 pin plug. Likely the front of case USB ports will, as there will be 2 USB ports, but the wifi+bluetooth card will likely only need 4 pins, and perhaps the same for the watercooler.

If they do only need 4 pins, then technically you can extract 4 pins from the other connector and combined the two into one plug.

So pins 1,3,5,7 are one USB port, 2,4,6,8 are the other.

Oh you've got things that plug directly into the headers, thought you meant you had 3x USB A devices to plug in.

Surprised the Wifi card needs to be plugged into the USB header. Perhaps that's optional as I'd have thought the connection via the PCIE slot would suffice?

It's normally purely for the bluetooth functionality, as they are laptop style cards mounted on a pci-e adapter. In laptops the wifi card slots have both pci-e and usb signalling, so in a desktop they need a dedicated USB cable.
 
Yes that is right, what I have read elsewhere is that the WIFI card needs the USB for Bluetooth functionality - currently I have got WIFI working fine, but no Bluetooth. I don't use Bluetooth much, but I used to have it working on my old motherboard, so for completeness I what to get it working on the new one too.
