Im wanting the run a USB type C hub to clean up my desk and make it easier to plug everything, the info for my laptop says my USB port is...

External ports: 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C™ (10 Gb/s signaling rate, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge)

And this means nothing to me. My question is when i use the laptop with a monitor, i want to use a keyboard, mouse, USB sound card and a USB SSD.
would it be possible to run them all on a type C hub and not have any problems. ifmi can is there any hubs that are recommended

Do you mean a hub with USB 3 type A ports but connects to you PC via USB type C ?

If so then yes you can buy them, I got one from the rainforest, FIDECO Powered 4-Port USB 3.2 Gen 1 Hub Aluminum USB Hub with Independent On/Off Switch, I cant provide a link due to forum rules, I wanted to be very specific with mine and wanted one with switches where I could turn ports on / off individually.

The info on your laptop means you can also plug a monitor via USB type C cable into that port, its a display port too as well as a USB port, for thaty to work you would need a USB C to DP 1.4 cable, the USB C end into your laptop, the DP end into the external monitor.

yes that's the one.
i just wanted yo know if the oprt was upto 4 signals at the same time and if i would have any problems with say mouse/keyboard delay/lag

I wouldn't of thought it would cause lag or delay as the USB C port can handle upto 10gbs, I don't use mine for mouse of keyboard, just USB sticks and a dongle I have for my Tx and flight sim, my PC case only has 2 front usb ports on it, those are used up, so I got the hub to save having to get around the back of the tower all the time.
