Hi,

I have a laptop and I am thinking about getting an xbox and running it through my laptop screen. Someone suggested the VGA cable for the xbox, so that is all fine. One thing though, my laptop doesn't have a VGA in, so can you get a usb to vga adaptor? Or is there a more elegant solution?

You could get a usb tv card for the laptop and tune xbox into that, but that would proberly run very badly

You can get USB video cards yes.
But they're not very good (limited resolutions), and are likely to be a pain in the rear to find.

That looks like it would do the job. Quality wont be amazing though, looks like its just composite & S-Video.
At that price, it could be worth the risk though.
Personally, i'd prefer to use parts from a recognised manufacturer: for driver support,tech support, etc;

that would work but i wouldnt get it, i had a pinnacle capture device and a tried it on my xbox, the response time was crap, about a 2 second delay. The game was unplayable through the pc (picture was also crap)

It might be a good idea to take that link off, for the safety of your account, because I think the bay is regarded as a competitor. Although I agree I think that could work.
