Hi all,

I wondered if anyone could suggest a fix for this.

Semi-frequently (maybe one time in 4 or 5), on startup I'll get a 'The last USB device you connected has not been recognised' error message that repeats constantly until I unplug the offending the USB device and plug it in to a different port. It seems to be any device or port which can throw the error. It's really annoying because there's no way of knowing which device it is except by trial and error unplugging things.

I've made sure Windows and any relevant drivers that I can think of are up to date.

Any ideas?!

Also my crystall ball gives errors, so what hardware you have there?

And if those up to date drivers are from Microsofts forced feed, would trust them.

Good question, it's ancient and I can't remember :p

Don't know if I might add a few pence here, but I used to have quite a number of USB-related bugs. I used Windows 10 and my sound device crashed the computer each time I would switch it on. I thought the problem was related to incompatibility of Win10 with some old USB version, but after I'd had to reinstall the OS the damn problem dissolved in the most magical of the ways.
