usb wireless adapter

Hi

i currently using the BT home hub 2.0 as a wireless network. i have recently got hold of a 2nd hand laptop where the wireless card is damaged. As i am wary of opening up the laptop as i'm not much of a tech guy i'm looking for a USB wireless adapter.

Which one would you guys recommend as their so many to chose from and i have no clue
