Hi all,
I've currently got an HTPC setup with 2 PCI TV cards and 1 PCI wireless network card. I'm looking to update the system but newer PCI-E MicroATX motherboards tend to only have 2 PCI slots at the most. So something has to give. The current network card gets an excellent signal, so could I assume it to be safe to switch to a less powerful USB adaptor so as to have enough PCI slots for everything?
The other option if this is a no-go is to buy a PCI-E dual-TV tuner card, but this is considerably more expensive than just getting a new network adaptor.
Any thoughts on USB wireless network adaptors? My router is a Linksys WRT54G, so I'd probably like any adaptor to be Linksys too.
Many thanks,
Michael.
