USB WLAN adaptor as good as Ethernet

I swear by going Ethernet whenever I'm setting up a network, however, I need to go wireless on my gaming PC. Which wireless adaptor should I get that has the least lag for online gaming? I mainly play FPS.
 
I'd suggest a PCI/PCI-e card if you really must go wireless.
They offer the advantage that most have an external aerial and I'd trust a PCI/-e card over USB anyday.
