USB won't play files

I transferred some mkvs to a 32gb usb but it won't play on any other PCs.

The MKVs are fine and play from my hdd on MPC/VLC but won't play from the usb. Tried with MPC, VLC. The USB is exfat formatted because I couldn't get it to format to ntfs and I wanted to transfer files bigger than 4gb.

Any ideas? Thanks

I get a similar problem on a generic mp3player/memory stick on our work pc's. Files play fine when copied directly on to the new pc though...
