hey guys
wjhenever i plug my mp3 player in i always get the message saying 'this device will be faster in a USB2 drive bla bla bla'
but its plugged into my motherboard... USB2 slot

the only usb drivers on my mainboard CD is just a text doccument saying that usb2 drivers are included with windows service pack 2
which i have.

any suggestions ?

see if there is an update version of your USB drivers? and is the port that you have plugged your mp3 player into USB2?

You could try uninstalling the drivers then reinstalling them from scratch.

aye theres none though... the mainboartd CD, under USB2 drivers... its just text that says words to the effect of ' usb2 drivers are part of sdervice pack 2 )
Mainboard is a p5wd2-E Premium... so its usb2.0
not really a problem, but it just emans my sons will transfer a bit faster and i wont get that annoying message :|

i though it may ahve been somthign i could change via windows ... some daft option

When you uninstall them then reboot Windows will try to install its own drivers with the "New Hardware Found" dialog. Let it do that.
andcheck the BIOS is enabled for usb2
