Use case fan header or not?

just about to start building new system, have a

with 3 fans. This isn’t the RGB version

My motherboard is

The fan controller has a sata power connector.

Do I connect the fans to the fan controller, then connect the fan controller to the MB, or should I bypass it all together and connect the fans directly to the MB?

MB has 4 x 4-pin Chassis Fan header(s)

Theres only 2 wires coming from the fan board , one a SATA cable for power,

The other has three 2 pin connectors as per pic
