Using my fathers laptop at the mo, I just want to know if its possiable for me to use some kind off website to use msn instead off actually running the msn program?

That first one is the official one and IMO is the best. If you are using XP you can use the old messenger: C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe, it comes with XP and is inbuilt.

Tried opening the task manager to check if its running? Sometime it doesn't pop open or display in the system bar thingy (the thing next to the clock). If it's too much hassle don't bother with it IMO. So yeah webmessenger is fairly good.

Web Messenger is quite good. I use it sometimes if I'm at a PC without MSN/WLM. Or if MSN isn't working, I can use Web Messenger to see if I can sign in or not.
