Use phone as PC screen?

Not sure if this is possible?......

I download files via my phone and would like to transfer them to my HTPC which has external hard drives connected.

My HTPC is connected to my projector so don't really want to be booting it up all the time.

Do you know of a easy method?

Android or IOS?

If windows you can just share the external drives, and copy them over with an app like ES File Explorer (android).

You could set up and FTP server on your HTPC also.

You could use Teamviewer or RDP to remote access the HTPC.

Could you give a little more detail of what you want to achieve.

I want to download movies on my phone... Send them to my hard drives easily, without having to having to use another display.

These files average about 30GB

You can setup remote desktop - it won't be quite as good as having an actual monitor connected but more than usable for light desktop tasks like file management especially on a wifi speed connection.
