Just found this, probably not ideal but it looks like it will be useful for those wanting to play a PS3 on a DVI monitor. Not sure of price though.

I always assumed that just for gaming a HDMI -> DVI lead would work, and wouldn't require HDCP? but reading this is making me wonder...

Does the PS3 require a HDCP connection no matter what? no just for Blu-ray playback?

I have heard that it will only play games at 480P, think thats USA standard def for TVs on an non HDCP enabled monitor but like I said im not sure.

Yea same here, on my old screen it would flash black every other second watching films. Using HDMI>DVI on my A04 2407 is now sweet as nut.

Also you need DVI-D to use that box.
