For the last week or so I have been experiencing a lot of crashes after closing the Internet Explorer 10 application as depicted in my eventlog here http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/4232/u94v.png

I scoured the Internet and one suggestion was to "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering" in the Internet Explorer options which I tried and it seemed to solve the problem.

However I really wanted to have GPU rendering enabled so I thought about what else I have updated recently and that was the Catalyst drivers, I put version 13.4 on from 13.1

So I uninstalled the 13.4 and put 13.1 back on and re-enabled GPU rendering and so far I have not had another crash. If of course this all turns out to be a load of old bull I will report back but so far so good!

The real solution is not to use Internet Explorer in the first place.

lol I know there any plenty of Internet Explorer haters but I have always used it and it works out fine for me

First time I ever had a problem with it and its down to ATI drivers rather then Intenet Explorer itself

Was tempted to try Firefox before I found the solution.

Didn't realise 13.6 was out! Are 13.8 beta drivers? Only 13.4 and 13.8 beta available on AMD/ATI website no 13.6!

Yea I got a little confused there was talk in the driver thread about a possible 13.6 whql driver. 13.4 and 13.8 are the latest links in the driver thread. 13.8 is probably worth a try though as it is the latest and takes you forward instead of back.
