Use Win8 Mail app WITHOUT logging in with MS account?

Trying to setup a laptop up here at work with Windows 8, have it joined to the domain etc and that is all fine, but we want to test the mail app connected to our exchange server.

However we can not load the Mail app unless we sign in with a Microsoft account.

Any way round this?

I don't think so, not that I've been able to find. To be honest it's pants anyway, number of times mine goes white whilst in use with a daft spinning dots is getting silly!

Try it with a non domain account and see what happens. You can do this easily. I don't sign in with a Microsoft account on my home box yet I've got the Mail app running fine.
