Does the seven day return policy of which is a legal requirement on all stores apply to used items. I bought a used PS3 from cash generators and would like to return it.

yes it should do, if they sell you a product that you no longer want or is faulty, they should take it back if its faulty or not.

So i am going to say yes, i cant see why not.

did u order it online or via telephone? if so then yes under DSR

if you purchased it physically from a store then they are under under no obligation to accept a return unless its faulty.

Online purchase, i rang the store and the manager will phone in the morning, strange.

Just tell him you wish to return the goods under DSR. There is nout he can do.
