Used Cooking Oil

Weed killer, against fence or what ever.

Or you can look on your councils website and it'll tell you where to take it for recycling.

If you're talking about the old oil from the fryer, then it goes on whatever bonfire we next have.

If you mean the fat I drain off grilled and shallow fried food, I collect in in a jar and it goes on whatever bonfire we next have.

It's a good accelerant :D

edit - Don't pour it down the drain - that is a terrible idea :/

It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

Oh wait, this isn't GD.

Bit of detergent to emulsify it, then down the sink. But this is only small frying pan quantities, not deep fat fryer.

Please do not put it down the sink/drain, you may think as it's small amounts it just gets washed along but this isn't true. Fats, Oils and Grease stick to the walls of pipes and over time slowly build-up, eventually blocking the line.

Mmmmm

Oh and seabiscuit, adding detergent is a temporary fix. It soon solidifies in the pipes.

The best way to dispose of used cooking oil is to pour it in a can or similar container and dispose of it in the regular household waste bin.

use it again if it was for cooking bacon.

bacon always tastes better if you use a pan that previously cooked bacon :D

Bacon always tastes good.

But I re-use it if it was for fried potatoes or some other things. Giving the next use of the oil more flavour. But most of the time bin.

Mega lol here mate and that's with a banging head too :D

I don't deep fry so its always very small amounts especially when using non stick pans, bit of kitchen roll wiped around then into bin before washing pan.

As many of the answers above, I seldom if ever deep fry stuff, so just down the sink with lots of hot water and washing up liquid. I don't ever have much more than a teaspoon left.

The only time I have a lot is after a roast - but most of that is used for gravy - but even then once done the jelly is then poured down the sink. Yay for modern 1st world country drains!

Usually pour it in the plastic pack the meat came in, or a tin, or carton or used sandwich/freezer bag.

Then into the bin it goes. Very rarely will I was it down the sink unless it is very small amounts.

Same here.

To me, a small amount is just what's left on the surface of the pan. Not enough to warrant standing for 5 minutes waiting for it all to slowly drip out.

When we have roasties, I just let it all set and scrape it off the pan and into the bin. Most of the time we cook with so little fat (that remains at least) it's negligible.
