Used i5 2500k

I hope this is the right place, anyway I have a computer that is a couple of years old and after plugging in a USB drive I got a message saying something like mass power surge and none of my usb ports work except 1 on the front it is a ASROCK H61M-S mobo and as the title says an i5 2500K CPU the ps2 ports do not work either so I bought myself a 4690k and plan on adding a decent graphics card to help it along, I am taking my Corsair HX450w modular psu ,Ram and Hard drive and was going to dump the rest until somebody told me there was a market for used CPU's especially the i5 2500k my question is it worth selling as spares and repairs as I can show it running just needs somebody to take out the CPU and add it to a new board.

The CPU is worth selling along with other items which you don't want.
