Most of you techies know filehippo.com.

Well they've bought out a beta program that checks if your software is up to date. Go here -

Not sure how compatible it is with Vista though.

it works on vista if u run it as administrator

Yeah been using this for a while. Quite good, although they've not updated it for a while.

That's pretty cool, though saying that I'm not sure whether I would have manually updated those programs myself. Most of the ones that I want to keep upto date have features within the program that let you know when a new install is available.

Filehippo.com + the Update Checker has been listed in the Useful Freeware Utilities thread since 12th April 2007, Post #38 - certainly a worthwhile way for updating software.
