I have done a forum search, and it doesn't appear to have been posted before. However, apologies if this is a repost.
There is a useful Vista feature in Windows Explorer, and that is the check box next to the file name. Previously if you wanted to select specific files then you would need to press and hold CTRL. And as anyone knows all your hard work is easily lost if your finger slips of the key. Basically this method you never have to use the CTRL key again. You just select the checkbox next to the file.
To activate
Bring up Windows Explorer
Alt + T (Tools Menu)
Alt + O (Folder Options)
Select View Tab
Scroll down to the bottom, and select
"Use check boxes to select items"
(Usually around 4th to last item)
If you regularly organise your files then this is a Godsend. If you ever use CTRL a lot, then do try this.
