user accounts

hi,

when i installed Xp in my new comp i didnt realise what i was doing, and i accidentally created a logon user, since then i have been using it however now its gettin on my nervers so is there anyway to delete it without deleting all my shortcuts and other stuff?

You can delete it in there.

im sorry this is really newbie of me, but when i do that, it wont just boot to the admin account will it? it will just boot straight to my desktop wont it?

it should do yes go into control panel and the user accounts then click the other user accounts (you will see it) then go to 'change the way users log on and off' then you have to options just read what it says and decide wether you want to tick or not.
