Hey all,

I've made a macrium image of my vista laptops hard drive prior to an upgrade and I want to access my files. When I mount the macrium image I can access most things but not my user account - I don't have permission :(

Is there a quick way of just making the whole drive (image) accessible by all?

Thanks.

This is what I get when trying to make myself the owner:

If I keep clicking continue it appears to go through every single file... on a full 320gb drive? I don't think so! There must be a better way?

Do you get the same message when you attempt to take ownership of C:\Users\your_user?
I haven't tried just one specific folder yet, I just thought it would be easier to do the whole drive - I was wrong it seems :p

Tbh, most of the stuff I need will be in my users file but some things, like game data etc, will be in various locations...

I think I've cracked it! Ticking the box (circled red) seems to fix my problems ;)

Surprised I didn't think to try that earlier...
