Lo all,

We're having a clear-out of the office and I've found an old iMac G3.

It's working fine, with mouse and keyboard. Running OSX 10.3.9. It's got a 40GB HDD and *some* RAM.

I was just wondering if it's worth salvaging or not?

How customisable are they? would it be any good as a home server? What's the maximum HDD capacity 10.3 can cope with or will the current hardware be suitable for Tiger?

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated, otherwise it's going in the bin.

As I remember even installing Tiger was a bit of a hack but I never did it just what I heard...

I would say its useless then again might be fine for backups if it didn't have a massive CRT display in it so again I say useless, flog it on or see if theres a company who does computer recycling to take it off your hands.
