I've got an iphone 3G currently looking for a new phone in a couple of months. I'll probs end up jailbreaking the phone again and using it for other stuff. Personally I think after a while it won't get used.

When I get the next iPhone I'll either give it to a parent or keep it as an emergency phone.

All my contacts etc. are in the cloud so it'll be ready to go whenever.

bit off topic, but since its a thread about the 3G. My mate has one and was wondering what is the best jailbreak (untethered) for an iPhone 3G (4.2.1) cheers guys!

Gave mine to the Mrs to keep her happy. Just have to make sure she doesnt try my 4G as she'll realise how slow it is.

Sell it, they still get crazy money. That or you could use it as a pretty poor PMP (i.e. like ipod touch etc) or just a phone! Really though, sell it and buy something awesome with the money instead. Maybe spend it on a trip to your local go-kart track, that sounds like fun.
