Hi all,

I'm currently looking to consolidate a few of my Raspberry Pi's into one server specifically I'm looking to run a few docker containers such as a personal VPN, Pi-Hole and torrent box with the possibility of home automation in the future.

I've been looking at HP & Lenovo USFF boxes but I'm unsure what the best specs are to look for - I've found a pretty good deal on a Dell Optiplex 3060 running an i5-8500T with 8GB RAM and SSD. Would this be too much or not enough?

Any help or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Will be fine. I've managed to use one of these to replicate a full stack ERP system running Oracle, middleware, web server etc.

It has 2 m.2 slots, though they are pcie gen 3, that's still fast enough for virtualization and docker images.

8500T is fine - it's got 6 cores and is a decent balance of power Vs performance. 8gb ram is on the low side, but easily upgraded (and most of these mini pcs take 32gb, with some taking 64gb)
