Using 2 languages in windows

I have 2 active languages in an english version of xp, I use french and english. The problem is it keeps changing between one and the other. How do I change it to French and keep it to French?

I suspect it's when I'm using word in French then open up IE it detects that it's english and automatically changes to english, any way to stop this?

I have seen this same issue many times with users of Word.

The issue I have seen is where the document which you have opened has been created when either the English language was set, or it was created on another PC in English.

What happens in the scenarios I have seen is that even though you select French as the language, as soon as you move to a new paragraph or another part of the document it reverts back to English.

This was a while back and as far as I can remember the only solution that I came across was to open the document that causes the issue. Select all (CTRL+A) and then select French again and save.

I seem to remember correctly we also edited words default document and ensured that the language was set to French and then re-saved.
