Using 2 wireless routers for CCTV dvr use

Hiya folks

I was burgled a couple of weeks ago. So am closing the gate after the horse has bolted. And beefing up security.

I have just bought a profesional panasonic 16ch DVR and 3 eneo camera's.

The Dvr is networkable(its own web server)
I want to install the dvr in the loft so it's less likely be stolen if we have another break in.

I have a wireless netgear router downstairs for laptop use and streaming to the ps3 and TV, and is hardwired to my main pc.

Can I just buy another wireless router hardwire it to the dvr in the loft and BOB's your uncle or is it waaay more complicated than than.

Cheers
Matt

What you want is a wireless bridge (or an access point that can act as a wireless bridge, or a router that can act as a wireless bridge).

Cheers but first thing first i think. Getting ahead of myself

Ok I now have the Dvr wired up to a couple of cameras and can see it over my network via its IP address and my browser.

How do i set it up so I can view over the internet.

Do i have to go through a domain server?? If so can anyone point me in the right direction.

Cheers
Matt
