Using 3rd party Bluetooth dongle with Logitech mouse?

I recently purchased a Logitech MX900 mouse from the MM. It comes with a Bluetooth cradle/hub that is sadly not supported by Vista. I managed to get the mouse working last night after a lot of tweaking and driver-swapping, but now it doesn't want to co-operate at all.

I don't need the hub because I have no other Bluetooth devices; I just need the mouse. So will the mouse work if I replace the hub with a 3rd party Bluetooth dongle, or is it more complicated than that?

I don't know - probably worth a punt though as i don't see why it wouldn't work.

BT dongles are handy anyway. Couldn't live without mine TBH... very useful!
