Hi guys,

Wondering if you could help me.

I have my HP NC6400 laptop hooked up to my Toshiba 32" HDTV via VGA.
The laptop is sat in a docking station, I don't in theory ever want to open my laptop and just use the TV as the monitor, at the moment I have no keyboard or mouse so have to open the laptop to use these.

I have set the TV (2) to be the primary monitor yet the laptop still has the clone display. I'm not bothered about this but when I close the laptop lid it changes the resolution on the TV to like 800x600 when I usually have it by 1280x1024.

Also if I use the function key on the laptop to use the TV as the main monitor and nothign on the laptop no display is shown, just a blinking black screen!

Any ideas? Any applications that I could use to make this easier? Ultramon doesn't really help...

No one can help?

It's a simple case of everytime I close the laptop the TV can't handle being the only primary device, why? The resolution shouldn't change. I have the laptop set to not do anything when the lid is closed so that can't affect anything.
